On Friday, February 2, 2024, God called home a precious kindhearted, loving wife, mother, GMA and sister, Tammy Lynn Williams. She passed at home peacefully with her husband by her side at the age of 58 in Bethel North Carolina.

Tammy was born on August 10, 1965, in Tarboro, North Carolina. She attended North high school before moving and traveling all over the United States. She had several degrees and certificates but was a stay-at-home wife and mother to her fur babies Bella, poo, Charlie Brown, and Rosebud, whom she loved deeply.

In 2006 on July 4, she married her loving husband of Bethel, North Carolina, Walter Melvin Williams, Junior he worked for the Ford dealership in Bethel for 26 years and then for the state for 15 years before retiring to stay at home and spend his time with his loving wife, they have been married for 18 years and together for 20 years.

Tammy survived her husband, Walter Melvin Williams, Jr., her one and only biological daughter, Amanda Whitehurst Purvis and her son in law Corey B Purvis of Bethel; two biological granddaughters, Kyrsten Lynn Pearce and Alanna Faye Purvis of Bethel; two step children, Walter Melvin Williams III and his wife, Jennifer and April Nicole Bryant and her husband, Tommy; three step Grandchildren, Jordan, Wyatt and Toby; three brothers, McDonald Ray Whitehurst ” Donnie”, Charles Bryant Whitehurst “Chuck,” Kenneth Brooks Whitehurst “Brooks” and his wife, Heather, as well as nieces and nephew.

Tammy was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor Ruth Price Whitehurst “Candy,” and father, Kenneth Bryant Whitehurst, “Kenny” of Bethel, North Carolina.

Tammy was a free-spirited woman who helped any and everyone. She loved to rescue animals, talk and have coffee, sit on her porch at the water and watch the dolphins go by. Her favorite times were spending time and playing with her grandchildren and daughter that were her world, as well as her family. She had a heart of gold and loved the Lord with all of her heart.

At this time there will be no service. The family will have a celebration of life at a later time and date.

Tammy and the family have asked to not send flowers, but to donate to an animal shelter because her heart was to help animals , the family appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers.
