Wiley Junior Fox

Wiley Junior Fox was born on September 16, 1930 and gained his wings on February 10, 2021 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Fox; two sons, Dennis Keith Fox and Wayne Ervin Fox; daughter, Catherine Gardner; and many brothers and sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish all the memories to his sons, Melvin Ray Fox and Lee Junior Fox (Bonnie); daughters/granddaughters, Tracy Manning (fiancée Ned Cawley), Teresa Lancaster (Willie); grandchildren, Ray Fox (Kim), Derek Fox (Jamie), Michael Fox (Ashley) and Kim Fox; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves his 3 sisters, Emma, Mary and Lucy; and last but never forgotten, his dog and princess “Buck” whom he loved almost as much as she loved him. She was right by his side every minute, and she will certainly be lost without him.

He was employed for over 65 years at Longs Manufacturing, a place he loved with people he enjoyed working with every day. He was the hardest working man that has ever been. He was a good hearted and honest man who would do anything for you if he could. He is going to be missed by so many. The only comfort in this is knowing that he is never going to be in pain ever again. He can walk again; see and hear the angels as they sing to welcome him.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and all their staff for all they have done for us and our daddy. We would like to especially give a very special thank you to Jeanette for coming to help us with him. But most of all, a big hug and thank you to Cindy Anderson, the angel God sent to us and to our daddy. She was heaven sent to us when we needed her most.

We would like to invite everyone to come celebrate the man he was and say our goodbyes for now to our daddy. A visitation will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Edgecombe Memorial Park at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to meet at daddy’s home after the service.
