William "Bill" Manning

William "Bill" Jesse Manning, 83, of Rocky Mount passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Bazemore Manning and Jesse Manning, and a brother Stanley Manning, sister Ruby Bazemore Harrell

He is survived by his wife Helen Manning of the home, daughter Ann Marie Manning; step-sons Ray Brewer and wife Pam of Tarboro, Donald E. Brewer and wife Marie of Texas; step-daughters Natalie Howard and husband Teddy of Nashville, Angelia Jackson and husband Scott of Rocky Mount, Sylvia Odom and husband Dean of Pa., 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Friday night at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Ricky Sorie officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
