Wilton Windham, 86, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2020.
Wilton, affectionately called Peanut, was a loving father, grandfather, and proud Veteran. He was an active member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Tarboro, before relocating to Ft. Mill, SC, where he attended Glenrock Baptist Church.
Formerly of Tarboro, he resided in Ft. Mill where his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dwayne Thompson, lovingly cared for him in his declining health. In addition to Lisa and Dwayne, he is survived by his son Dennis (Sandra); grandchildren Dan Rawls (Liz), Will Windham, Elizabeth Geisz (Matthew), Rebecca Jones (Ben), Derek Thompson (Kayla), Matt Thompson (Nicole); great-grandchildren Ava Rawls, Sterling Geisz, Emery Thompson; and loyal, loving dog companion Charlie.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Evelyn Windham; a son, Wesley Windham; a brother, Joseph Windham; and parents, Cora and Ben Windham.
UPDATE: Graveside service with immediate family will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday November 22, 2020 by Pastor Gene Flack at Queen Anne Cemetery, Farmville, NC.
Arrangements are by Palmetto Funeral Home, Ft Mill; and Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro.
